October brings the arrival of daylight savings, giving you a longer, more relaxed day. You’ll enjoy an extra hour of sleep before sunrise on your big day, and with sunsets typically between 7:30 pm and 8:00 pm, you gain an extra hour of evening sunlight. This creates a flawless flow for your reception, leaving plenty of time for lawn games, entertainment, and daylight photos with your guests after mains and before sunset. Best of all, you’ll still plenty of time on the dancefloor before the night ends!

This month is the perfect option for micro weddings looking to book for 4-5 hours, with gates open at 4pm, ceremony starting at 4:15pm, reception starting at 4:45pm, grazing and canapes from 4:45-6:00pm, mains from 6:00pm-7:00pm, lawn games, entertainment and more daylight photos from 7:00-7:30, sunset at 7:30/8pm, and dancefloor time from 7:30/8pm until 8pm (4hrs)/9pm (5hrs). You can fit all of your events perfectly into a 4-5 hour micro wedding package in October with the ideal sunset times from 7:30-8pm.

Colours also appear warmer and more saturated, making every photo, whether under our 600-year-old River Red Gum, in the sunset photo paddocks, on the lawn or in the courtyard look like a warm-toned, glowy, well-balanced photo.

The Ultimate Wet Weather Backup: If rain, cold snap or high winds arrive, our Garden Marquee provides a stunning, light-filled indoor alternative that maintains an authentic “outdoor” feel with synthetic grass and natural light. Alternatively, if you’re planning a micro wedding, we can select our Reception Marquee or Reception Barn as your wet weather ceremony back up space.

Relief for Hay Fever Sufferers: The Garden Marquee is a wet weather or high winds back up ceremony space, located within just 20 meters of our main reception spaces. This space offers a sheltered environment that helps prevent hay fever flare-ups for guests, without sacrificing the “outdoor” feel with synthetic grass and natural light. 

Seamless Climate Control: Whether it’s an unexpected heat spike or a brisk evening, our Reception Barn (complete with a gas fireplace), Lounge Bar, and Reception Marquee feature year-round climate control and heating to keep your guests in total, cozy comfort.

October marks the very first month of our glamping season! We have just purchased brand-new glamping tents, meaning guests staying with us in October will be the very first to experience our upgraded luxury accommodations.
